Hey Bansil, I've got the perfect solution to your travel dilemma. Buy a half dozen or so little haciendas spread around the country and travel from one to the next. That way both your and your wife's needs can be met. You'll always be heading out from home while your wife will always be heading back home. Three weeks on the road and one at home--just what the doctor ordered! Jack

In trains, sometimes they tied the hanging lamps with a few stratigically placed decorative chains that ran from the lamp to the ceiling to keep it from swaying too much. Usually they used three equally spaced chains, sometimes four. Would be prettier than bungie cords.

Re: La Tortuga...updated 08-06-14

ignore the mess

here is the chandelier mounted, it will have a bungie cord from the bottom to the table edge and 2 from the conduit, to "dampen" the movement

and replaced a 2 x 4 box with a 4 x 4 box, so I could put a dimmer in and not lose the plugs, I used the chandeliers' ring and mounted it to the top of the 4x4 box

notice the "night light" glow behind the knob

Lisa had picked up a few RF led lights for the kitchen, they had AA batteries and wouldn't last a few days...cheap lights that cost a fortune to use........
.
.
.
So I wired one up above the entrance door and a quick 3m strip holds the switch at hand height right inside the door, wired to 12V they are very bright

until next weekend...also a few sneak pictures

with matte clear

no clear yet

The matte finish will make those AR parts way less visible.

I now have a new "process/hobby" for finishing bus parts
(just have to learn how to do hydro dipping more consistently, you tube makes it look too easy)

The "process" looks great! I just did a little Cerakote action on an M4 build. Not as artistic as yours but I like it. How many of those doggys AR you building?
