I multi-tasked

Next is jigging up the stair treads, and welding all the PCs in the next few weeks, think I will use the 6 x 12 table at work.....and the welder of course....lololol.....

Then all the assemble after sub assembling..... May weld at work and use fork trucks to erect my walking steps....a.k.a. The 1/2 round Christmas tree/staircase.

I am honestly doing this now just.....to say I did it

Wife thinks I am crazy.....then she said "glad nothing has changed"

And she was all about " your scared and I will have to go up first to put handrails up before you can join me"

Well dugh "make it safe and then get me a sammich and a beer!"

I can only say that on the internezts though.....

okay it has been a long day...it was beautiful outside...it got to 88* it was an oven

I went with a 36" deck instead of 48 inches....there will still be 3 more feet sticking out the back, at about 6 ft tall

so I started by cutting 2 pc of channel, and welding them to the frame, there is 24 inches of weld plus I will be adding a bunch of bolts later on

It is a pain working alone at times and you got to get creative

everything is basically mocked up

I have tons to do, I also forgot my middle pole which is the backbone of this project, I may drive to work in morning and get it...we will see (2-1/2 hr round trip and $10 gas

it is time for a beer break and to let welder cool down, I hate not having 100% duty cycle

so I got up and went to work for "the pole" and I needed to notch a mounting slot

started with a cut off blade

and finished with a grinding wheel

I trimmed bottom of tube match angle of C channel, a few shims later

then needed to setup my project, had to use the trailer, everything level and square

mocked up for attachment to veranda (porch is skewed about 8 inches to the pasenger side for welding clearance

heading back out

OH and that dang weldment was heavy for one person

Bad-ass-ery 101: why mess around with other people when you can just show off the guns and do it yourself?

Hope things are well. Looks like you're keeping busy, so one can only hope that means you're keeping out of trouble, too.

It's situations like that Bansil that make me think you need to stick with the wine and leave the beer alone.

What times the show?
