I feel that I always win..but at times, I just nod and say "oh, I didn't think of that". But, of course, I still think that my idea should be doable.

Go ahead & laugh but we've survived being together for 15 years thinking like that. I think it has improved my cunning immensely.

I had him tear down an antique wardrobe to use as walls in the bus. He hesitated, until I walked by him one day with a big hammer...then he broke it down for me, we installed them and I painted them and he had to admit that they look great and were a perfect fit for where I wanted them..
lol. the ol, threaten to beat hubby with a hammer trick!

BC you are correct cheers!

Tango going with expanded metal, the steps are 10.50 wide and then tapered down to 3.25

Nat, yup back to basic's plus it will look better

SDave shouldn't be an issue in the USA, most references I could find refer to 60% or 75% of wheelbase, my WB is longer than 10 feet, so the 70" should be GTG

I will measure total overhang soon and post it

SLOWLY the turtle goes long day outside

I got a little done today before rain sets in

framing in the top, 1.0 x 2.00 x 1/8 wall tubing and 1.0 x 2.00 x 1/8 C-channel

more framing

also started to "tie-in" the stairs and prep for finish work

and my first "selfie" I look real happy, actually was standing on the steps to weld around where ladder didn't fit, I need to get big ladder next

I so want to get this and bath room done in the next 6 weeks, fingers crossed

Very cool! When I saw the first pic I was hoping you had them mounted with some type of bearing, so they would spin as you are driving down the road.

I know. It is art therapy in an attempt to exorcise the demons from the memory of an awful childhood fishing trip that went terribly, terribly wrong . . . .

I grew up making boats from 1/2 gallon cardboard milk cartons, and then added a "crew" apparently dead mice according to mom

I floated my armada down storm drains and gutters...

Red bear, thanks for memory jog
Mom was always scared to check my pockets on laundry day ;)

LOL when I was young I would float model ships and bottles down our creek & shoot at them with my .22, then one day I realized you can't have war without fire so I dumped 10 gallons of gasoline into the water & lit it on fire, boy you should have seen all the fire trucks they had to build a damn about a mile away to keep it from spreading any farther, lit a couple of the neibors fields on fire

I have done a few things, bus has slowed down this summer we only have a couple late summer long weekends trips due to wifes new job

So more time at home means we need a place to chill out

Wifey wanted some yard work done so last couple weeks have been digging, scrapping burning etc...we hate our field grass (averages 36 inches tall) and mowing etc takes up too much time, we don't have...

...so we are going to redneck lay a bunch of concrete pavers, add a fire pit that is not just 1/2 of a 55 gallon drum I want Koi so I am doing a pond
I have always wanted one, so why not

As we have been demoing every evening she wanted a water feature to relax to until pond and stream are done so I put this together for her sunday

I will post some pictures when progress can be seen, we want low maintenance and a full concrete yard was too much $$$$$$$$$

Get some Minnows going in that tub. That way, you'll have something to feed the Koi when the pod is ready.

I am fantasizing the sound it makes...nice!
