Re: 1974 Model 05 Silver Eagle

Someone on Ian's board installed one. I think it was in an Eagle or MCI. Can't remember. I do know that I had pics. I remember the pics. Part of the system was installed under their dinette seat, the rest was in the bay. I will look and see if I can relocate the page. It may take a couple of days. We are working on getting out of here. We are way past due to leave. Spent yesterday fixing a toilet leak in the Class C. Can't leave town and leave the kid with a leaky toilet. Roswell is only 100 miles away but we can't be coming back all the time.

Re: 1974 Model 05 Silver Eagle

the NEW 30,000 btu suburban furnace arrived .I have hooked up the ducts, installed the vent and secured it. I need to do some minor 12v wireing, and as far as gas goes ,it will be hooked to a rubber propane line (professional made from a dealer of course) about 5 feet hooked to 2 portable 7 gal. tanks. that will give me (1) 7 gal tank for the hot water,(1) 7 gal. tank for the buddy heater (for back up heat if furnace propane goes out) ,and (2) 7 gal tanks to feed the furnace.

Re: 1974 Model 05 Silver Eagle

Heres a few more pics of the furnace and propane setup.I have 2 (7)bottles with auto switching regulator, to feed the furnace, 1 (7) gal bottle to feed the tankless hot water .

Started insulating some of the duct work, not sure if it's necessary, but it seems it will help be more efficient?? I also set the furnace up with to optimum batteries and auto regulated charger. I want all systems independent. Example if propane runs out I dont want to lose propane for everything. If the batteries die i don't want to lose heat, lights, etc.

heres a few pics

Re: 1974 Model 05 Silver Eagle

So.o.o.o.o.o, the batteries, propane(potential explosive) furnace and battery charger(potential spark and open flame) are all in the same compartment with nothing tied down?
All of that looks like a potential disaster.
