Mountain Laurel - 1991 International 3800

Greetings all!

My girlfriend and I are now the proud owners of a 1991 International 3800. I flew to Fort Meyers, Florida on Friday afternoon and made the trek back to North Carolina on Saturday. I must say, I was initially pretty terrified as Ive never done anything of the sort, but the twelve-hour trip went really well. Before I knew it, I was cruising down the interstate at 70 mph.

Here she is before I set off homeward!

Shes equipped with a DT360 and an AT500, so I was pretty worried that she would be underpowered on the highway. No worries, she cruised just fine at 65 mph and sat right around 2400 rpm. Climbing into the mountains was quite a different story.

Were really excited to get started as soon as the Thanksgiving holiday has passed. In the meantime, well be daydreaming about all the possibilities!

Stay tuned.

This is an excellent bus to start out with. I wish I could have afforded one like this. But I'm more than happy with mine!
I've been at it every day with this bus. The seats and rivets are maddening and monotonous!

The ceiling height is around 6'6". I'm only 5'6", so I think it might work out just fine.

Here are a couple more shots of the interior and undercarriage before I get started.

Bonus night shot!

Nice, looks rust free. Where did you buy her from? A dealer or private?
