Mounting to the ceiling/roof

I am about to make my bus purchase. I am planning to convert it into a mini gym for kids. Any advice about how to mount things to the ceiling that withstand the weight of children? Also, how hard are they to install? Thanks!

I would recommend drilling and bolting through the structural cross members. Bolting through the roof panels will not go well. If you plan to hang many things, I suggest using lengths of uni-strut, bolted to the ceiling. It would give you more places to mount on the ceiling.

I just drill a 3/16 hole in the cross members and crank a number 12 sheet metal screw or a lag bolt into it. It will hold a lot of weight. Just don't go through the cross member and out the roof panel. Like Dwight Privilege said, run a unistrut or 2x4 or something across several cross members and it will hold just about anything.
