mrfixitchapman and jesmugsy's B700

I have posted some photos over on the gallery. mrfixitchapman and jesmugsy's 1987 B700 is our project. We had the bus for a couple years and got going on the conversion in March 2003. We bought a wrecked travel trailer and strip-mined it for appliances and hardware. The kitchen appliances and roof-top air conditioner saved us a couple thousand compared to buying new. We bought the toilet, bathtub, waste water tank, hide-a-bed sofa, and dinette from rvsurplussalvage.com in Elkhart IN. Long drive from the upper right hand corner of Iowa, but again, saved couple thousand bucks. Sold the trailer frame for about what we paid for the wreck. We might have 5K in the whole thing. We went on a 'sea trial' run in June and drove to Flaming Gorge in Utah at the end of July. We had a couple friends from Denmark along. We all lived happily ever after. We had originally intended to go to Glacier National Park, but it happened to be on fire. Flaming Gorge had their giant fire last year.

Works for us. Any comments/questions just stick 'em here.

My hot tub bus is a Ford B 700. It's a 1991 with the 6.6L inline ford diesel and the allison auto trans. Lots of miles, almost 250 k. I've put 8 thousand miles on the rig since i bought it one year ago, no mechanical problems so far.
