Seats and Floor

Had a couple friends come over today and in 3 hours we had the seats out and the rubber floor removed. This bus had the rubber floor directly on the steel with no wood. I was worried about how bad the rust was going to be, but I was amazed at how good the floor actually is..........

I love that. My Ward came with steel and rubber, too.

Floor

Spent the day patching the minor rust areas, sealing and then painting the floor with rust inhibitor primer....

Johnny, I thought that was you! I used to frequent the Geo forums years ago. Fun little simple cars. I had a Red 5/3 and a green 5/3 (5speed/3cylinder). Got 52 mpg at the best. Great cars. I had an hour comute each way for 3 years in college and they saved my a boat load of $. Sold both last year. I have a New Beetle TDI 5 speed that got me a best of 67 mpg and mostly free diesel fuel. I don't drive it as much now. I have a company truck to drive.

Small world and good luck on your build. I think I'm on the opposite side of Ohio as you are. Too bad it would be cool to check your bus out.

I remember you from the Geo Metro Forum. I think you had the same or similar username. We bought a 2017 Mirage and still have 3 of our beloved Metros. It is a small world!
