What's the deal with that lcd meter? I looked through the thread and didnt find much info on it. If I'm not mistaken, that's a controller for a rig master apu unit? Are you going to be using an apu on your build?

That is just an old APU control unit that I gutted and used to mount my battery monitor meter. I will not have an APU on my bus.

I came up with an awesome idea for window blinds! These are not trimmed out perfectly yet, but you get the idea when you see the video. Also got a few other things done on the bus build.........

It's going to be very difficult to get the bus level.

The solution is to forget the spirit-level when framing walls, etc, and instead use a framing square plus measuring from fixed reference points.

So I spent all that time taking the wife's clean 96 Geo Metro (The Frog) out of the garage and leveling the bus for my Amish buddy to get started on the construction if you seen the last video. The poor car went through hell. Monday morning it was like a scene from an Alfred Hitchcock movie with thousands of blackbirds hanging out in my trees and shitting everywhere. Tuesday, the rain came down with some light hail. Today the wind was like 60+ mph gail force bull crap wids and a few branches came down on the car, the bus, and the house.

I got a call from my Amish friend and he wants the bus at his house tomorrow night. His place is only 2 miles away, but I had to load the cabinets, lumber, plywood, OSB, paneling, fridge and everything in the bus tonight in high winds and cold snow only to drive it to his place tomorrow. I was pissed at the wind, but not at the decision. All his tools and stuff are at his house and he has extra lumber and stuff if needed. This totally makes sense to do the work at his place. Tomorrow I drive the bus to his place and will update by first of the week.

Stay tuned for some awesome updates!

Wifey stopped by to see the bus at noon and took the picture below and my Amish friend had all the cabinets secured and the first wall done. By time I stopped by at 5:30 he had the entire kitchen counter area done with countertop, sink, upper cabinet, and stove cabinet done and was starting the next wall on the other side of the fridge............

My Amish friend could not believe he ran his circular saw, table saw, jig saw, and battery charger for his cordless drills all day long yesterday on solar power. He was totally amazed and even called it "The Magic Bus"

I got there are 3:00 today to turn off the blue light on the LCD meter and check the system. The batteries were already float charging and ready to go. He was finishing another job today and will continue working on the bus on Monday, so I snapped a few pics of the kitchen area..........

If you notice, I finally got the ceiling sanded. I wanted to paint the ceiling before the walls were built, but it did not happen and will be done after. Hopefully I can get some more pics tomorrow.

The stove is there. The fridge in the last couple pics is out of place and will be right next to the sink wall and stove is across from it. I got some more pics and will upload them here soon with the fridge framed in.

My Amish friend agreed to a back side picture. He is unbelievable! I got home from work and he has the back wall to the bathroom, bed frame, rear wall, and shower almost finished.....

Wow that's really coming along quick! My only head scratching came from "Amish friend.. Power tools". I thought that was an oxymoron.
