That was the saturday brunch of this years Mini Bike Winter, right before the Ben Hurt Chariot wars. Search flickr for Mini Bike Winter, to see more pictures, or check out zoobomb.net . Zoobomb is the community that puts on mini bike winter each year.

And for some substance, here are some more low quality photos of my bus. Just got a new phone, it has a camera in it, I took some pictures, more to come.

Left side:

And I did some snooping and have confrimed that I have an Alison HT 740. Is this a common transmission for a crown?? Is it faster than the 643 that I thought I had?

bike winter huh. i almost made it up for bike summer back in '02, but i ended up moving back here to wv that summer. how long has bike winter been going on? i never heard of it before i moved. i miss all the great bicycle oriented festivals and stuff, we don't have that here.

Re: My 1987 Crown (Finally)

Well took my bus out for its first adventure. A 6000 mile adventure! Drove from Portland, OR to Richmond, VA in about 9 days! No mechanical problems at all! Well I left my heated mirrors on once and had to get a jump about 4 hours later, that made me a little nervous, but turned out ok. Still havent had time to paint or to do much interior work. Here are some pictures from the trip:

Somewhere in Richmond:

Q: How many cop cars does it take to let me know that it is illegal to have something as big as a bus parked in a residential street over night? A: 5 (you cant see the other one parked on the other side of the street).

Oh, and a burnt out headlight was the other big mechanical problem.
