My '76 Superior... "Desert Dawn"

Well, I guess this is a "reintroduction" of myself to the Skoolie world. My name is Keith.
I joined this board a few years back when I purchased a 1980 Ford/Bluebird... unfortunately, circumstances forced me to sell her only a few months in and I didn't get very far with a conversion.

Now I'm back with the purchase of a '76 International/Superior. Just happened across it on craigslist for the screaming deal of $300. It was bought by a couple of 21 year old kids about 6 months ago and they realized they got themselves in over their head and just wanted to get rid of it.
She runs and drives very well, though there are a few mechanical issues that need to be addressed. The PO had started with a real basic conversion but didn't get much farther than a couple plywood walls and a countertop. I'm going to remove what they did (should take me 20 minutes) and start from scratch.
I have the plan of living in her until I can afford my own piece of land... mostly parked, but kept in good mechanical condition regardless.
I have christened her "Desert Dawn" after one of my favorite songs and the fact that I reside in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

I'll have a blog with pics up soon hopefully.

I look forward to you advice and I hope to become a long time member of the skoolie community now.

I liked the blog. Nice tutorial style to it. If my plan for "seat to foldout bed conversion" works, I'm going to do something similar.

OK, so after a hard rain last week, the stove cement I used to seal the roof at the chimney has cracked and started leaking. I read on someone's page that they used this same method. How's it holding up? How did others seal thier roof?
