New Bus , Gillig Phantom transit

I just bought a 1995 Gillig Phantom transit bus out of Utah. It drove great all the way back to Atlanta. 2200 miles in five days. I really wish the thing had a fuel gauge but for some reason transit buses don’t.

I am going to convert it with a queen size bed, a futon, full bathroom and kitchen. And then a friend of mine is going to host it in his backyard with all utilities, and he will do the work to rented on Airbnb while we split the profits. I will be using it some for road trips but not full time.

Who else has converted a Gillig? Does anybody in Atlanta need space to convert? I have some extra

No fuel gauge? Thats weird as hell...what genius came up with that idea.

Nice looking bus though! I've seen a few gillig builds on here, you can try searching for em up top.

My friend and I had the same idea about building out a few bus shells parked on his land in new mexico to rent out on airbnb. we got 1 out there already but havent worked on it yet.

That bus was for sale on this site recently; looks like a sweet bus. Congratulations and welcome to Gillig Nation...
