New Member (finally)

I had tried to join a while back but never got the confirmation email, finally got it going now. As is obvious by my ID i have a 79' Thomas GMC 6000 that I am converting-it will be more of a camping/party/Scuba diving trip bus. I am not installing a full kitchen or bath at this time. I got the bus from our local School Board with 113K miles and new tires for $400 they still have several of these if anyone is interested i will give info. It has a 366 gas/AT545. Since i got the bus I have removed all seats, painted the interior, tuned it up and am now getting ready to paint the exterior and install carpet. I look forward to sharing ideas/tips on this project with you all

Thanks Alot!
This week i plan on buying carpet and perhaps starting to sand/mask/paint the exterior. I am going to sand the bus down and paint it with rustoleum gloss black thinned out thru an automotive sprayer then on the roof i am going to use heat reflective paint like is used on trailer roofs. Also going to start wiring up the stereo system

Plotting the next project now. Looking for a clean diesel pusher with low rust/miles. Identical plans with plumming and biodiesel added :)
