I was thinking of putting some high output exterior lights on our rig. Nice for when you're boondocking and hear something shuffling around at night. Flip a switch and that raccoon/deer/bad guy is suddenly blinded (and a clear target).

Re: Newbie here

My BB has a nameplate above the passenger side windshield. It lists tire/rim size, gearing, chassis number, etc. Plus there is always the tag idea like Rich suggested.

Re: Newbie here

Hey Nate --- Nice looking Bird. There are a lot of T444 PowerStrokes out there and most people seem to either love'em or hate'em so it's a draw on the engine. I'd definitely find out what tranny it has. The Allisons are all solid but the 643 is much preferred over the 543. The lock up on the 643 makes a positive difference on fuel use and it also allows for engine braking. Really handy on hills. As for price, it is a bit high...I'd guess around $37-3900 would be tops in my part of the world (Texas) but if it is in really great shape throughout, maybe $4200 (?). The page says they take offers so start out just below what you are comfortable with and see where it goes. Overall it looks like a good platform but personally, I'd want to drive it before buying it. I flew to Utah to check mine out before doing the deal.

Best of luck and keep us informed.

PS...see if they have the maintenance records. They are worth their weight in gold.
