This was a festival promoting environmental issues that we were commissioned to organise lat year. I love the way that the lens stretches the bus to make it look even longer.

I guess the lens makes the B700 look more like a B800 Boy howdy I sure could use that effect for my B600 26 passenger (really a 50 but with alot of handicap seating area to cut the count waaaaay back).

Re: Our American School Bus in Sheffield, England.

I have just found these pictures on my computer. We organise a fireworks event in Sheffield called After Dark each Nov which attracts around 20,000 visitors now. The bus is used as a production office and if you look very carefull at the fireworks picture you can just make the front out (bottom left on the bank).

Just got back from a camping trip with the family. I have now got a great canopy 'event shelter' to go next to the bus creating a great seating / dining area.

That is one amazing coversion, and the use you make of your bus over there in the UK is just marvelous! Wow, you folks are a real addition to the Skoolie forum! Now, how about doing a conversion on one of the older double decker buses? That is what I always dream of doing- a two story bus house! But they are hard to come by at an afordable price over here in the states!

Very nice, I like the interior. My wife and I just landed a very nice 1983 with just 25k miles, we are looking for ideas to transform the bus into a Rollin Sportsman.

Re: Our American School Bus in Sheffield, England.

Sorry, not logged onto the forum for a while. I did almost get a double decker before I got this one... but an American bus is more unusual here and so has worked out better for us.

You need to go to western NC. You will pay to play in the mud...ie; Pan for gold and/or gemstones (most of which are NOT native to the area)

Lorna.......Now that is funny...we have stopped by many of the "gold/gem mines around boone/blowing rock and the whole grandfather mnt area".
It's funny to talk to the owners and hear stories of the dump trucks droping the "dirt" ; its great for the kids and the tourist's (s/p)
It's still fun too take kids to tho'
The excitement on their faces...is almost worth the muddy clothes

Re: Our American School Bus in Sheffield, England.

"Salted" mines are great for the kids. I am from Macon County (Franklin is known as the Gem Capital of the World). I only recommend 2 mines that are still 100% native gemstones. I also tell people to stop by one of the local thrift stores and buy clothes to wear for mining then toss them in the garbage when done. You can never get the clay stains out. My Mom would spend all winter in FL trying to get the stains from the clay out of our clothes we wore during the summer. It was a tad futile.

My Dad used to take croaker sacks (25 lb burlap potato sacks) filled with dirt back to FL so friends & family could play in the dirt. The mine owners would give him handfuls of gemstones to add the to bags (salting). They bought huge lots of them for very little $$ and made their money back many times over.

I still have 3 small native NC rubies (pink sapphires). If I had them cut, I could get 4 or 5 stones and 3 of them I know for sure would be "starred".
