Unfortunately these are people-free... But heavily caffeinated! About 150mg per bottle that wakes me up enough to start making coffee.

sweet!! im guessing my double shot and tea is probably close to 150 mg of caffeine... I enjoy the coffee shop vibe.. the chase of finding new places to go and try it too.. the bottle would probably wire me up right away.. but i like the 5 miles walks through cities to hunt down the best places to Caffi-Code.. when im not in walking distance.. its school bus rides to seek out the caffeination destination!

Just finished putting down my first coat of Ospho. The directions say sometimes you need 2 coats. Before the Ospho I gave it a good sweep, a rinse with water, a scrub with simple green, another rinse and squeegee, then a second simple green scrub/rinse/squeegee. Of course as soon as I got to this point it started raining, so I fired up the bus and ran the AC and heaters to move air and dry it out.

We'll see how it looks in the morning, I'm not afraid to give is a second coat, I have plenty left. Once the Ospho process is done I'll lay down a coat of primer.

My next task then is to tap into my air tank so I can run air tools from it. If all goes well, this weekend I'll be starting the rivet removal and removing the AC ducting.

Still haven't found a place to do tires + front end alignment on my bus. Photo follows.

I think it would be safe for most of us to assume our front ends need work. I've checked and was told it's $250 just to put it on the rack even if it checks out perfect. It's worth it if we're putting on a lot of miles.

That tire is worn so unevenly I'm concerned that the replacement will meet an early demise too. I don't mind paying a fair price for the service, it's not something Im equipped to address myself.

Gotta grin and bear on some of the service items, unless you just happen to have the alignment equipment around.

I tend to lean toward the shops on the side of busy interstates. Real diesel shops.

I paid $200 for an alignment on my DEV bus.. on my red bus. i had a bit of uneven tire wear and a little shimmy in the front end.. turned out on that one my King pions were **SHOT!!**. as well as the drag link ends.. tie rod ends were good.. so that shop bill was much more. one can hope tire wear is just alignment. but doesnt hurt to jack up the front end , grab a bar. and see what moves and what doesnt to preapre for the possibility there are other things wrong.. perhaps that you can fix yourself before going in or be ready to have fixed when it does go in.

Was that bus in the Boeing Company fleet?

Here in WA state the buses in the Boeing Company shuttle bus fleet were usually highly optioned buses with activity/coach seats, big HP, and high speed gearing. At one time the shuttle buses were all Gillig buses with the 855 Cummins mounted amid-ships. Those buses would pass me on the highway when I was in my Gillig RE that was powered with a little C-190 so fast I thought I was stopped!

I wonder if all of the moisture problems could have been A/C evaporator/condenser condensation not draining to the outside. Those floors look pretty rotten without seeing any rust trails down the ceiling and walls.

This was a shuttle bus in South Carolina. It has nice features like a higher ceiling, higher deck height, nice air conditioning, etc. But it has a 5.9 and AT545.

The before photos of the floor look much worse than the reality is. The wood I pulled up was in bad shape but seemed to keep the air from hitting the metal. Once I pulled the floor up things started turning orange quick! I just put a second layer of Ospho in the more colorful areas, and this afternoon I"ll be putting down a coat of rust proofing primer.

Does it have more headroom than the Vista?
Certainly looks like a standard headroom model, as the window line is lower than the top of the service door.
How tall is it from the floor to the ceiling in the center aisle?

We've got the 77 inch headroom which I understand to be a bit higher. Compared to our friend Joe's TC2000 there is clearly more height above the window line.

I swept the Ospho dust out and put down a coat of primer today, that metal was thirsty! I used most of a gallon of the Ace brand rust preventing oil-based primer. I was thinking about doing a second coat but its taking its time drying.

I also got my air tool system put together.. Well, a rough draft at least. I bought a set of fittings from Amazon and one of the couplers is iffy and leaks. I'll pick one up locally tomorrow. At some point I will decide where I'm mounting my 50 foot retracting air line...

I used one of the auto retracting air hose reels attached to the ceiling in the back of my bus garage. Havent used it yet.

There could be nothing worse than having compressed air and not having enough hose to air up your own tires.

My reel will be underneath somewhere but I haven't decided exactly where. I could suspend it from the frame, I could enclose it in my spare tire locker, I dunno yet. The important part is that I'm able to pop rivets this weekend! Destruction! err I mean Demolition! With any luck I'll have the interior panels removed tomorrow and a game plan for addressing any leaks or other issues I find

Hard to believe I'm as far as I am. Next week I'll be adding instead of subtracting! Crazy town. Still need to address that front tire and alignment.

I was always better in the demolition phase.

I'd like to mount a household size compressor tank between the frame rails.

That just goes to prove, whatever you think of has already been done.
