Also, mounted my vice! works great there! Working on using an old bus seat to hang the propane tank (not done yet)
Nice colors!! If it were me I would rethink having a LP tank on my back bumper. Not good in a rear end collision. There may be a law concerning this but not 100% sure. Anyways nice bus!

Summer 13

We made it, and with minimal hiccups... We were noticing awful smelling smoke out the exhaust but only when off throttle at in upper RPMs, so downhill. Many folks told us many things were wrong. Anything from bad valves to jake brake problem (it doesn't have a jake brake, ha!) Finally, in Gellette Wy we ran in to a guy who knew the problem immediately. He charged $160 and advanced the (high pressure) mechanical fuel pump with a bent wrench. He said it had one more adjustment left before a new chain.... I must admit I can still smell a hint of the odor when descending a hill, but it is soooo much better... And we made it so..woo! here are a few success pics..

Gotta show the ole Corn Palace

The coolest hitchhiker of the trip, he was with us for a few hundred miles... his dog Lucky

Nice human compost toilet atop an Oregon mountain..

Bus on 'da beach..

The last pic we got before the digital camera died, forgot the charger. There was forest fires and as unfortunate as that is, the effect is amazing.

Okay, I have been searching skoolie and cannot find any info on a Frankenstein of a van on top.
Something like this... I was thinking more of a conversion van though

Does anybody know if there is a thread out there concerning the addition of a vehicle to the top of a school bus... Or any thoughts... I need some inspiration

You want inspiration, here is a bus on a bus with a rocket stove and a spiral staircase to the top bus.

Here is building the staircase.

Here is a walk through the bus.

Love the Phelps' bus. They are on Fb! Also, they bought their bus as a double decker, it was added by the previous owner but I'm sure if you contacted Bryce he'd probably tell you about how it's attached.
