Re: OUTPOST

well I scraped the seats today. 860 lb of steel. $106.00. Tomorrow I am going to finish the temp paint job. Then my insurance will be happy. Warm weather is great. I think between the seats and the floor I have removed about 3000lb of weight. I am going to get it weighted soon so I can know what I added. I priced tires today, Cheap ones are 2100 for 6. I am tired but I am still having fun.

Re: OUTPOST

Well I finally got the police check done and the title and plate work done. I should have my plates in a few weeks. Indiana mails out new truck and rv plates out.
I started removing the inner panels today and found that most of the upper roof supports have been welded. They look good to me. The lower panels under the windows do not want to come out. I may have to remove the windows to pull the plates. I want to get all the interior down so I can inspect it an get it spray foamed. I will work on it more thursday. Any ideas on removing the panels?

Re: OUTPOST

well it has rained for the last two days, my days off. This is slowing my progress way down. I started wire wheeling the floor so I can paint it. I have noticed a lot of rain water coming in somewhere at the bottom of the walls. I have not been able to remove the wall panels under the windows. They seem to be glued in. Is there a drain on the walls by the windows or could it be leaking by the windows? I wish I knew more about the construction of the walls before I remove all the panels. I guess this is just going to be some more reverse engineering.

Re: OUTPOST

Well I got my rv plates in the mail last week now all the legal stuff is done. I got the floor cleaned up and started painting the inside. I am still in the planning stage. I drilled out one of the latches on the under body compartments to get the door open. Now I will have to find some replacement one or come up with a differant way to latch and lock the doors. Any ideas?
