Do I understand correctly that there will be an RTR rendezvous in WA?

I looked on the RTR website and could not find any information. Anyone have details?

Thanks.

RTR is the second and third week of January in Quartzsite, AZ.

For info go to Bob Well's website Cheap RV Living.com-Home for info, maps and the exact dates

Stop by and say hi....... Gregg
This is what I was asking about.

AZ seems like a more appropriate destination for January. Unfortunately too far away for me to make it this coming January.

Actually it was in Washington a bit north of Seattle. 4 Hours from me. Yes he was a Russian. He titled it in his name then his plans changed (or so he said) so he sold it after 4 months.

Moving on: Insurance

I got the bus insured this morning. Neither of my current auto insurance carriers would write a converted bus. My Washington auto carrier, e-Surance, was extremely helpful and transferred me to an underwriter in Tennessee who got me a policy with Progressive. 250/500/100 plus comprehensive and uninsured motorist coverage with a few RV perks for $316 per year. I'll add collision after it's fully converted and I can have it appraised for actual value.. It states right on the insurance card "Converted School Bus" so there's no lying or funny business going on.

Now onward to removing the seats.

What to do with the old seats????

Like the title says......

Is there a way to recycle them or should I just take them to the dump at $50 per ton to dump? I'm in an extremely rural area in the extreme southwest corner of Washington. It's not like there are metal recycling plants anywhere near.

Moving on: De-seatifying

Got the seats out and to the dump yesterday and today. Originally we unbolted the aisle stanchions but my wife was having difficulty lining up the socket on the impact gun os I cut the remaining stanchions and unbolted the outer mounts. As soon as it stops raining I will go back under and we'll unbolt the rest of the mounting plates. Checked the floor over and under for any rust or softness in the usual suspect areas and it is sound. The heavy undercoating underneath is unbroken. Hitting the wheel wells with a hammer showed no softness. I am going to leave the original floor alone and go over it with my final finish flooring.

Any estimates as to how much coolant I will lose when I disconnect the bus heaters. I only want to leave the dash heater operational. Looks like two bus heaters will be going bye-bye (and the associated hoses).

I left one seat in place (right front) for temporary passenger use till I do finish flooring.

And now some photos;

Seatified

De-Seatified

Seats going to the dump. It took two loads and cost $80 total.
