Re: Pics of Bus

You should make a gallery in the Skoolie.net galleries! You're moving right along on your bus. I've had mine for over a year. I'll be painting the inside tomorrow and getting ready to lay down some sub-flooring.

Re: Pics of Bus

I was going to work on it today and get the inside painted, but it's raining out. So tomorrow, I'll paint tomorrow! I'll take some more pics then!

Re: Pics of Bus

Didn't you just buy that bus last week? You're moving right along with it! A suggestion, on your little ID plate that you wire brushed, you might try spraying it with some clear coat. I'm guessing that would keep it from getting all rusty again.

Re: Pics of Bus

If they ever want an AWACS with flames on it, they'll know where to find me. My old maintenance squadron had a corrosion control section. I sure wouldn't want that job. I'm really not fond of painting. It's nasty, frustrating, and there's lots of sanding to do! Ugh!

Re: Pics of Bus

that little faucet controls the heat inside the bus. more technically the coolant flow to your inside heaters. All or some of your heaters probably don't work now that you shut off that valve.

The next wife I get has got to be able to sew. The way things are going here, it looks like I'll have to learn how to thread the bobbin myself. Maybe the next wife will have to know how to weld!

Luckily, I don't have to have a wife, to get my sewing done. My mother taught me how to use a sewing machine and how to make a pattern.

I think I might be better at sewing than I am in carpentry. At least I can sew a straight line unlike my cutting wood.

Heck, it sounds like your bus is better insulated than my house. If you can get a 43 degree difference, I'll have to copy what you've got.

Hopefully, my bus will have the insulation it requires, to keep me warm.

Good Luck and keep warm.

With that Blue & White paint job it looks like it used to be with the NYPD. Was that the case or do you not know who owned it before?

From what I can see from the pictures, the bus used to be yellow. I like the blue and I was thinking of painting mine that color, except I'll probably go a little darker (just like the Corona bottle )
