planning to bid on this next Monday

these buses really intrigue me - built on a heavy duty 26,000 GCWR platform, comes with a lowered floor that will double as a sunken living area ( no roof raise needed ) plenty of interior space to camperize and rear wheels so far back that the garage I want can be mostly added on to the back without disturbing the steering too much - 6.6 diesel with 6 speed auto, 5th and 6th as over dirive - gov limited to 3500 rpm - 60 MPH in 6th should happen right around 1700 rpm 146000 miles +/- -- don't know if I'm flush enough to get it, but costs nothing to try

You're not going to be able to do much of a roof deck on that specimen...

But on the plus side;
It will nearly fit into a specimen cup!
(Apologies, Al!)

Being so low and with a long wheelbase, I can see that getting hung up more than I care to imagine, No good for snow either but real purdy!

John
I think it will be ok - I've pulled holiday trailers with a 2 wheel drive PU through some really nasty conditions - we'll see, might have to turn it into a summer only traveler - lol

I apologize for going off topic, given the rarity of you doing so. [emoji6]
But what do you reckon 26.7 pounds of Canadian coins are worth..?

^...That is an odd auction.
Wonder why they don't take the box of coins to a bank for redemption???

Because it's a gubmint vendor, and that'd make too much sense..?
Prolly darn close to the exchange rate on the bids, anyhoo.

there were 16, I think, like this one sold out of Edmonton, plus 5 or so Internationals with much the same design that all still had the change collectors in place - the one I hope to bid on is from another northern town and all the ones for sale have it still installed - maybe I can set it up here to collect donations to help pay for the work we do with 'last chance dogs'

Sweet. Really dig the elevation changes in the floor. That sunken living room area should give it a really cozy feel. Like the windows too... plenty of view but look well sealed.

What occupies the area over the cab?

It's a ranch-stule bus!
Perfect choice for a (little) home on the range.

I like the motor/trans/diff combination too - peak torque at about 16 - 1700 rpm - right where it's needed to maintain highway speed on the hills ( 600 ft/lbs ) - with the governed rpm set at 3500, I should be able to pick up a lot of speeding tickets - lol

I think with some roof insulation and heavy draperies that can be closed should be warm enough in northern winters when heated with a propane furnace

Don't forget the piezoelectric ignitors for the canine flatus.

Go for it, should be awesome. I've thought about making something to put on windows temporarily, when necessary because of temperatures, with some kind of foam, closed cell, flexible, backed with thin luan plywood, wrapped in fabric and faced with a flexible vapor barrier, and then held on with velcro and magnets.

And about the coins, at least there shouldn't be many pennies. I just found out 14 loonies weigh slightly less than a pound. Had trouble finding how much a toonie weighs. If I were closer I just might make a bid.

SORRY, but I was way off on this originally. It actually takes nearly 65 loonies to make a pound.
