Shiny parts!! I didn't want to buy more hardener, so I will likely have to wait until next weekend to install. I still have 2 windows in back to skin, paint the door, install new clearance lights, and install the mirrors. Then back to the interior!!

The non painters in the group may not recognize what a good job you did with the silver--no stripes or blotches and a good shine. Your choice of non-reflective black on the hood makes sense and it goes well with the glossy black accents. It does pay to do a quality job if only in self satisfaction.

Re: Project "Brutus"

Wow, thanks!! And you aren't kidding, that silver was a challenge. My first panel was horrible. I ended up waiting a couple weeks and scraping it off, haha! So touchy. Just the slightest bit heavy and I would get a dark, sagging stripe . I learned to wait a bit and quick hit it again LIGHTLY!! Anywho, thanks for the encouragement!!

Is that what it is? They are squeezing us for money? I never paid any attention I guess. Doesn't surprise me; I've never taken photo Bucket seriously because I figured it would come to this at some point.

The free Photobucket accounts get 10Gb of bandwidth a month. Don't delete your photos from your thread, just wait until next month until your cap resets again.

It's stupid but I guess they feel like they need to make money too .... way to get us hooked on a free service, reel us in and set the hook. Thank you greedy world ....

The silver looks AMAZING ! ! I wish I was able to make the blue look as good on Fergus ....

Re: Project "Brutus"

Ugh...dangit. It was warning me I was getting close. I probably shouldn't have posted the video, haha! I'll just wait for it to reset, sorry guys! I just checked and it will reset on the 12th. I will go through then and see if I have any pics that aren't needed and delete them, so it doesn't use so much bandwidth everytime the pages are opened.

Re: Project "Brutus"

Definitely a 50 foot paint job on Fergus. I kept having issues with the knob that regulates the volume of air let into the spray gun (my fat fingers kept bumping it whilst spraying) so there are some VERY runny and saggy lines on the back of the bus.

Re: Project "Brutus"

Gotcha, my compressor blew the breaker a couple times, but it was pretty noticeable. Would start to get really thick and clumpy. One spot is kinda funny. Has a nice "texture" to it, lol...

Guys, I can relate on the paint job. I did/am doing mine with brush and rollers but even with all the runs, drips and errors it is a distinct improvement. The most important thing is: I am happy!

Re: Project "Brutus"

That feeling of accomplishment when it is finally "not yellow" is amazing!!

Edit: Also just realized that if anyone still wants to see the pics, they can just click the pics and it will bring you to the photobucket page.

I had no knowledge of the 10 gig bandwidth limit. I have very many photos on this forum. I hope that my bandwidth limit gets reinstated.

Re: Project "Brutus"

I checked my account on Photobucket. Apparently, in two days, my bandwidth allocation will be reinstated. We shall see.

Prior to using Photobucket, I used TinyPic to post on the other bus forum. I haven't gone back to that forum. I guess that all of my photos are still there. The current administrator of that site is a nice guy.

Re: Project "Brutus"

Well, rear bumper on (just need to get some stainless hardware), finished skinning rear windows, got fenders installed, and got headlight bezels installed (after painting them silver ). I really need to spray the underside of the fenders black!! I'll probably get that tonight, after I get the door painted black.
