All I have left on my list for this week is to add vents to the base of my console so my heater works properly, fix the trailer wiring, and come up with something for curtains. Then time to head west!! And yep, I'm gonna be climbing some mountains. Can't wait to hit the first grade and open my window to listen to the stack sing
Please update us as you go! Trips like that are definitely worth it and can be lots of fun.

I will for sure update as I go. We are starting to pack and I am going to finish curtains tonight. I'll make sure to take a couple pics before we fill it full of stuff. Actually, you guys should prepare for lots of pics, haha...I love trip pics. I may have to open a second hosting account so I don't hit my limit -_-

Man I’m jealous. I wish I was heading out in my bus, not just starting. Don't have too much fun.

Re: Project "Brutus"

Well, looks like it's curtains for the bus. Literally They need to be ironed, but they are done. I would have prefered the larger panels were bunched up some, but since I was hacking up old curtains, this is the width I had to work with. I hemmed the bottoms so that I could run another spring wire through there as well, to keep things looking nice. I just don't have any yet...minor detail, they look fine as is. I was a little rusty, and made a couple mistakes, but nothing my sister's surger won't be able to fix (hopefully!) If you click on the panoramic, and then click the "+" sign twice, you will see it fullsize.

What a sissy-boy! Sewing curtains... pfft!

Just kidding. I'm pretty handy with a sewing machine myself, and yes, it is great to know how to do it. And a sewing machine is a TOOL, and therefore manly, right guys?!

Now if only I knew how to knit! We could all have a virtual knitting circle!

Haha!! Yup, that's my version of knitting. I don't mind sewing, it's ALMOST fun. My daughter paid me a funny compliment, she said I made sewing look manly, LOL!

Re: Project "Brutus"

Planned route for tonight! Won't be leaving until late this afternoon and will drive until around 1am Whenever we are traveling I'm going to post a link to the trip map and you will actually be able to track our progress, haha... I'm using "Waze" for my GPS app, and it's a pretty fun toy. Tonight will be a boring drive, but I will still have an ear to ear grin on my face the whole way I'll post the actual route link right before we leave...

Re: Project "Brutus"

Hey, good luck and safe driving.

I may get to start traveling in my bus too. I found out that porkchopsandwiches has parked his bus about five miles away and I plan to drive out to meet him and work on our buses together on the weekends.

Jake,
Have fun, drive safe.
There's a rest area at mm192 MT. Just to say you drove on Bad Route Road.
