Re: Project "Brutus"

I'll hook propane up tonight and check it out. It's so shiny and new it HAS to work!! Hahaha... I just put the vent cover in for now, cause I don't have a vent run yet. Maybe I'll get one in before we leave.

I mean it was running really good before I sent it to you.

Re: Project "Brutus"

Its arriving tomorrow. Ebay, $7 shipped

Got some more odds and ends done tonight, but the main thing to report is that it was cold and rainy, but the bus was warm and toasty thanks to my awesome new furnace. Thanks again William!!

Re: Project "Brutus"

More little details finished... Installed a CB, finished my intercooler install and routed new boost gauge tubing, finished out the area where my furnace is (need pics, sorry!), installed an actual sub amp for my subs so I could get rid of the monstrosity of a reciever I was using as an amp, and a few other odds and ends. The car amp was fun. Since it is a typical 12 volt car stereo amp, it needs the 12 volt remote signal telling it to turn on. My onkyo reciever obviously does not have a 12 volt output, so I took a 12 volt adapter/charger from some long lost electronics and caught the end off. Wired the positive to the remote turn on terminal on the amp and the negative to the amps ground. I then plugged it into the back of my reciever and walla, remote 12 volt signal to turn on the sub amps Sounds soooo much better, as the old Harmon Kardon reciever I was using to power my subs was severely underpowered. 5 days!!

Re: Project "Brutus"

Haha! I like the fine print! And yes, it really is about the journey.

All I have left on my list for this week is to add vents to the base of my console so my heater works properly, fix the trailer wiring, and come up with something for curtains. Then time to head west!! And yep, I'm gonna be climbing some mountains. Can't wait to hit the first grade and open my window to listen to the stack sing

Re: Project "Brutus"

Jake, good luck on your trip. I have driven across the country many times in different vehicles. I will not do it in my bus.

There are so many things to look at on a journey as you are about to embark on.

It will give you a lifetime of memories.
