How did you get your wife to agree to the full time skoolioe living plans? My wife isn't even interested in weekend camping once I get one, but I'm still moving forward with my dream.

I bought my bus last fall, but due to snow, I couldn't bring it home until this May. I have talked about this bus everyday, for months, when I finally brought it home she freaked. "what is THAT doing here in front of the house....one week and it has to go..etc" After explaining my plan of fulltiming within 5 years for the umpteenth time, she agreed I can keep it a little longer. Well to make a long story short, once she saw the bunk, table, futon and kitchen coming together, (without her help or input) she is completely sold. (of course it helps when her friends come down for "bus parties" and tell her how cool it is) Now she's pushing for a 2 year plan. So hang in there, she'll get the bug. Cheers

Re: Sherm's family's new skoolie!

I wish we had a home depot/Lowes that close. Our closest Home Depot ANd Lowes are 50 miles away but we end up going to the Home Depot in Albuquerque (over 70 miles away) to get stuff because the idiots in Las Lunas can't seem to stock the store! Have to go to the Sam's Club on the same back road anyway. When we move to Roswell, there is a Home Depot within 3 miles!!!!

Re: Sherm's family's new skoolie!

I went with 32" wide mattresses which, after 4 years underway, I found are wide enough for comfort. That would give you 2' passage.
