Awesome job! The bus is coming along great,and it's good that you're already getting to enjoy it. Take advantage of that military benefit of being able to stay in military campgrounds, from what I understand there are some nice ones throughout the U.S.
Let us know how long a propane tank lasts using the stove. I like the idea of using a full size home stove, and I am just curious how long a tank will last with regular use.

You do not need to empty it, just top off, do your driving and top off again after.

I'd be careful with that thought. You are opening yourself up to the introduction of moisture. As much as we hate to, our tanks should be kept full.

WIth you on that one - 
But agree with Opus - turn the process areound - you can either empty it and put in 25 gallons (the tank is always 3/4 empty) or fill it up and then refill it whenever you hit 3/4. It's the same 25 gallon fillup, and better moisture-wise, I'd think. It only hurts once.

Hey, BigSherm, please don't talk of dollars and filling the tank. At $425 per tank full, ten tanks is about twice the price of a decent unconverted bus. Ouch, it hurts.

Great to see the whole family get involved in a project... My boys get pretty involved with ours, the wife, not so much... She loves having it when we've had it out though...
