man oh man that thing is huge, and very low to the ground.
Well good luck with your conversion, what are your plans?

Re: Roll Call..Elliot,Lapeer,Crazy old Coot, and the rest
It never looks too "jacked up" but the airbags are down right now. I am working up floorplans right now but mainly just a cheap quick conversion for now and update and improve as finances permit. This bus should last a long time so it can be a lifetime project
My immediate needs are hot potable water and kitchen area.

Oh dear. A defector. One of those high-falutin' guys with a "real bus". (Insert indignant Biblical-sounding curse of your choice.)
Seriously, there is a ton of information on this interweb thingie about highway buses. Just search, and you will find sites similar to this one, but all about MCIs and Eagles and so forth.
And books. Some books explain RV conversions without regard to the type of base vehicle -- which should serve you well.
Of course, many basics apply to your bus and Skoolies equally. But when you set out to raise your roof, you can buy ready made front and rear caps in fiberglass for various heights -- a luxury that we poor boys don't have!

yeah, you could buy a fancy perfectly smooth and symetrical fiberglass cap, but then it wouldn't have, uhhh, character. I couldn't imagine millie rolling around characterless. Well, actually, she'd still have characters inside, but, that's not the same.

It has a 318 Detroit (8V71) I am not sure about the horsepower rating though. A 4 speed manual tranny, which for some silly reason you have to flick a solinoid button and put it in 2nd for reverse.
Elliot I won't tell Millicent there is a "real" bus on here but I really think I got too good a deal to pass up (famous last words huh) I have also been on the busnuts and MAK forums for awhile. I even ordered the bus buliders bible
