It did really well. Starts up easier than my pos new subaru.
I drive it around about once a week.
It has one rear air spring that is getting really dry rotted and I'm planning on replacing that and two of the retreads on the rear need to be replaced someday.

I went to get the title and tag at the tax collectors office and the lady is such a horrible chud. She says I need a lien satisfaction certificate.
She goes way out of her way to NOT help people. I've "dealt" with her before.
She at first told me she couldn't give temporary tags. When I produced a paper saying that I could have one, she started searching for other reasons to ruin my day.
Now the vin is flagged till I get this lien letter.
Bummed.

Huh. The people at the Marion County office were very friendly, if somewhat confused. They spent at least 45 minutes trying to find out how to change a bus title to a motorhome title when I went down there just to get information—I didn't even have a bus yet. When I finally did get my rig, it was already titled as a motorhome, so all of the info I got was unnecessary, but they were still friendly.

There is something about the woman at our office in Tavares...
Shes HORRIBLE. Just one of the worst people in the world. Some people can't even handle a tiny bit of power.
I will look into this lien satisfaction stuff but I'm really not feeling very confident right now. Just really bummed.

If it were me I'd call the DMV office at the state capital and talk to someone there. Explain the situation to them and just play humble and ask them what can be done? If there was no lien on it in the first place then there should be no need of verifying one doesn't exist. You might have to contact the dealer as well and see what he can do for you since you bought it from him.

Before I even bid on a bus I called the state office to talk to them about what I needed to deal with the title and transfer it from a commercial vehicle to a school bus. They were very helpful. When I went to the local office they gave me a bit of a different story. When I told them I talked to the state office and what they said the counter person went to her supervisor and the supervisor agreed with what the main office said. Paid my taxes and away it went. No problem. Hope things get better for you.

Thanks, man!
Bought mine from a school board.
I did all the homework, but apparently there was originally a lien that has been long satisfied.
I'm just baffled as to how to motivate anyone at the bank which may not exist anymore, and the school board who may not be of any help as its likely out of their hands.
Just seems no matter how much planning one does its never enough sometimes.
The bank I can't find a phone number for. Its Corporate Trust Associates at Fifth Third Bank in downtown Cincinnati. I apparently have to get a notarized letter from the original lien holder.
I'm gonna hope for the best. But I am getting worried.

Tell me about it. I'm sitting in a hotel right now in a city in a country I won't mention at this time because all flights to a particular destination from this city have been cancelled due to "security reasons". Working on getting to another country so I can get back to the place I was supposed to go today and have the ticket from there rebooked so I can get home, hopefully no more than 2 days late. yea, I hear you .

Well my mood has now changed...
A guy I used to know called me up and is coming to buy my motorcycle today!
Now I can breath a little easier as I've needed this money badly. Now the psych-Ward project can move on a bit more!

Thanks, badassbus.

I sure hope he's talking to me or else I look now like a pompous jerk.

I sent the paperwork back to Ky to be signed and notarized and should be tagged and titled by the end of the week if all goes well.
The people at Todd Co school board have been so friendly and helpful through the whole purchase.
I also got myself a great deal on two Fantastic brand roof vents. the ones with the really nice 3 speed fans. Brand new in the box for a hundred bucks for the pair!
