I'm trying to order the steel I need and still trying to get my stepdad to get me a price for the steel for another member.
I love having all this work coming in again, but I have a lot less free time and energy.
Some bad news came last week- my good friend who I was going to have do a lot of welding and fabrication work for my bus was injured in a M/C accident. No helmet. Hoping he has a speedy and full recovery. Doing ok so far from what I've heard but I haven't been able to get over and see him.

wouldnt that be fun! the neighbors see a bunch of us all show up at your place with our Skoolies!!!

Well, we could maybe fit your bus at my house.
For an actual meetup, we'd have to use the 20 acres my bus is parked on!
But yes, having the entire block jammed up with skoolies would seriously make my day!!!!!

20 acres . . . so much land and space.
When I moved from Miami to Winter Haven ,I thought this was country. But now, I want to move further out. I've been looking to buy land north of Lakeland.

I can only imagine a gathering at my current place. The HOA would probably have us all arrested. . .LOL

I read the whole thread. I'm still trying to wrap my head around what bus type, engine, etc. to look for. These threads help allot.

Having somewhere to work on it unencumbered is the key!

I gotta get back to work on this thing.

Update for folks who may wonder what's been keeping me-
My fabricator buddy that was supposed to be doing a bunch of the work was in a motorcycle crash. 60 with no helmet. He's alive, but he did get hurt.

He's working again, but he isn't the same... having a head injury has to suck.

If anyone has any fabrication/sheet metal skills and wants a weekend job hit me up, I really wanna get this roof raise done.

head / neck / back injuries are tough.. head being the worst i think... getting back to work quickly as long as his bopdy can handle it is probably the best thing for him... your brain will begin to adapt to new ways to use ther skills as long as you dont forget the skills,, memory is hard with a head injury.. tell him to stick with it even if he fills inadequete at what he is doing...

I saw a helmet-less bike wreck on I-75 this sumer.. and I fear that rider isnt so lucky as your friend who is still here
