It has held up awesome actually. Exceeded expectations for sure. Is not sketchy whatsoever like the critics of this post may think. It does not move whatsoever and has hosted many a 20+body deck party. She just needs a new coat of stain.

Over 5000 miles, every trip consisting of miles of bumpy dirt roads. many 20+body party with people jumping around and bouncing the bus like crazy. It’s totally solid and hasn’t moved a bit. Most of the wait rests on the roof of the bus meanwhile the 6 legs prevent it from tipping side to side and sliding front to back.

As my bus top speed max’s out at 55-60mph. Going 70 isn’t an issue.

The insulation helps big time with the deck wood heating up and not radiating onto the roof metal. Also have future plans to insulate the sides of the roof as well and enclose the sides of the deck.

This deck build has proven itself solid and safe. But would recommend professional assistance without a doubt.

The sheer strength of Those sheet metal screws is way more than enough to hold it all together.

This setup scares the hell out of me. By mounting the legs to the side of the bus, ALL of the weight (and drag) is imposed as shear stress on possibly the weakest part of that wall. That beautiful arched roof can bear SOO MUCH compressive stress, I don't know why anyone would mount these posts to the side-wall. If you're going to do it, do it right. Mount the feet on the top of the bus, through-bolt them with big washers, and seal the crap out of them.
