Question Roof Rack Question

I am in the process of converting my Ford E-350 bus into an RV. Attached is a picture of the bus. I want to install roof racks but dont know how to go about that. The body of the bus is aluminum and I'm not sure if its structurally strong enough without special supports added. Also how waterproof any penetrations to the roof. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

There are roof supports that I call "ribs" You need to find them and attach roof rack to the ribs and use butyl rubber between the rack and the bus to seal it.

Thanks for the advice. I'll check that out. There are vinyl sheets riveted together on the ceiling. I guess once I remove those, the ribs will be exposed.

I would also get a magnet out to check your roof panels.

I have never seen a Blue Bird with aluminum body panels. Crown and Gillig but never any of the eastern built buses.
