Talking "Savor It"- A Skoolie Project

Good afternoon everyone!

I have been a long time lurker and my wife and I finally decided to get a bus after seeing a few skoolies at the Pink Hill Tiny House Street Festival 2018. We have a '98 Thomas Saf-T-Liner MVP-RE. you can see more stats in the bus description. Anyway, I will post some pictures and have already done so in my introduction post. We won't start any heavy work until fall, sorry but life works in wonderful ways! So, without further delay...pictures!

Wiper Delay Help

So the bus came with a wiper delay switch...it isn't connected to anything. Has anyone dealt with this issue? I have pictures of the relay and delay to help assist in any ideas. Thank you for you input and help!

Progress so far...

We took out all of the cushions, and we removed the ceiling panels and insulation. This will probably the last notable project until October: when we get to our final place to really dig into the project. Oh, I also fixed an exhaust leak. And we were so grateful to have screws instead of rivets!

Off to a great start! Is this going to be a full time home, or an RV for you?

Window Question...

With plans to remove the sidewall, I am debating on cutting just under the bottom portion of the window ledge....or should I just remove the windows and pull the wall up and off? I'm still going to keep the bus windows for now. Any ideas? Experience? Suggestions? Thank you for your time! Oh, one last thing, has anyone taken the locking latches off of their bus to get them re-keyed? I'm trying to find a way of taking the lock cylinders out to take to a locksmith. Thanks for all of the advice and wisdom!

Foam is expensive. If you will need some for a bed or sofa and it's not gross, I would keep it and use it. You can buy mattress toppers and cut them to size to use over the foam if it isn't thick enough.

It's a lot easier removing those windows then cutting all the way across.

The locks can be replaced for a around $12 for 4 of them. No locksmith will show up for less than $100.
