School Bus Conversion Expedition

Hey guys! My name is Patricia and I share with you our project. We left Argentina in 2003 and came to Alaska in August 2008 ... with our daughter in the belly of seven months ... Now the family project is to return to South ... from the united states to Ushuaia, the southernmost point in the world in Patagonia Argentina. For this we bought a Ford Blue Bird School bus year 95 and we started recycling and made our home in it. The idea make our home, home traveler and open cultural space that we will be sharing in different towns of the route. Decorated with pictures and objects we have collected over the five years. We are close to print our first book of photographs that will be our sustenance on the journey. Currently we are on a trouble. We put a lot of effort ...and we are not sure if the work (plumbing and electricity ) is ok. We did: electricity 110 and 12 volts, plumbing (shower, toillet and sink) water pump, water heater, Propane (refrigerator and stove). Almost y ready. We have not found people who can understand the concept and have spent most of the money budgeted for the project and we need support ...We are looking for a honest worker, efficient and able to do an inspection arround Dallas/Fort Worth. We need to know what is wrong to go forward. Somebody know this person??? Here I attached some pictures, the link to the website (which is under construction ... but you can see some photos from the trip) and a hug Patricia, German and Inti ...

Perhaps try looking through the threads in the 'Insurance/Registration' forums, there may be a few specific to texas. Also, you should consider changing your post title temporarily to something like "Inspection help needed in Texas." Maybe even start a thread over there. You'll probably get more local readers if you include the area in the title.

Also, I must say the work you've done so far is BEAUTIFUL! I'm impressed with how far you've been able to come, please take some time and post some stories when you have the chance! Good luck!

Re: School Bus Conversion Expedition

I am in Irving, right next to Dallas, but I do not understand what you are looking for here. If you are looking for a vehicle inspection to get plates, just go to an inspection station. A large diesel vehicle inspection is about $12 if I remember correctly, and they don't care if it is a bus/RV/dump truck/Semi The inspection is the same to them. If you are looking to get reclassified as an RV from a bus, that is a different matter. It does not require an inspection, it is a paperwork thing at the tax office. If you are looking for someone to check out the work you have done and offer help/suggestions, I am not really qualified to do that for you as I am still just starting my bus. Maybe if you describe the issue you are having, someone here can help point in the right direction.

I believe apparently some people said they didn't do it right, and now they are worried before starting their trip and need assurance(I think )

You did a nice job on your bus. Exactly what is it that you want inspected?

Hi neighbor! i´m in Irving too... We need a inspection on the electricity (12 and 110 volt) and the plumbing...We have some doubt about How the work was made...Is hard to explain, but the system never was tested ...We want a second point of view about the work to return the bus to The workshop and indicate what things are wrong.

We have the plates, and we´ll change the tittle when the bus is ready...
You are making all the work on your bus?

Sorry for my english, we are from Argentina...
