Well the snow is on its way out and the days are getting longer, and its getting warmer out. Time to get a little work done on the bus, I ordered 8 new fuel injectors should be here next week, replacing them is at the top of the list, after that hopefully put new flooring in, and just some general up grades. So far only a few trips planned at this time.

well got the new injectors, and now of course its -16c windshields -22c, suppose to be cold all this long weekend. But I did brave the cold yesterday and got the 4 injectors out on the left side of the engine, they are the harder ones to change, still have to put the new ones in, ill wait till it warms up, but I'm hoping to get the other 4 out tomorrow, I want to be able to have the cores ready to ship back on Monday, they hold $1000.00 for them.

I hear your pain.
Only -12 here with blowing rain at 60 kmh.
Next week we are going to have plus 15.

Did you drain your oil tubes before the change? Or crank the motor over to get the oil out of the cylinders? Something you gotta do--or else!

I couldn't break loose the oil drain plugs in the heads so I removed the back injectors first, let the oil\fuel drain into the cly, then I pumped out the oil with a pump I rigged up to go down the injector hole. I did this for each injector ( . I have the glow plugs out and will crank over the motor to get the rest(if any) oil out, the vac pump did a really good job sucking out all the oil, what I also did was plug in the block heater made the oil nice warm
I should have it finished this weekend , its suppose to be warm and I still have 4 injectors to put in.

Well our injectors are installed and shes running better then ever. I have to change the oil, and get my plate tags(expired) before I can take it for a good run. She runs a lot better then it did, and there's a big difference in power just moving it a bit in my drive way, can't wait to get it out on the high way.

How much did your new injectors cost? I have a feeling that I will need to do the ones in my 7.3 Ferd this year.

well the summer went by fast, we only spent 18 nights in our bus, and only put on 5000kms, I didn't do any other work on the bus, other then new injectors, I already winterized it, I left the generator in so I can use it in a power failure. The bus ran like a champ, and everything work well, can't wait to till spring time.

Well we made our first run with the bus this spring, went about 200kms and boondocked for the night, had a small problem with the pressure relief valve on the hot water tank, every thing else was great, feels good to be back in the bus, we have a few trips planned this summer.
