Re: Smitty's Bus

My daughter says "it's as adorable as ****" (and how adorable is that?) and she wants it. That is one of her criteria for her skoolie... she wants a "back porch". See, it's contagious... she has skoolie fever!

Re: Smitty's Bus

Ok this is bugging me. just spent the last hour going through posts trying to figure out what you haven't mentioned yet.
My next guess is the vent cover over the rear door??

looks like I see another skin riveted over your side window area, but I thought you had welded and smoothed all that over????

I think those were taken while painting. The roof is still yellow. I side with Ramairws601. It looks as if the sheet metal has either another layer or was pulled up and riveted on. Remove some waves from the sheet metal?

Naw, she just needs a skoolie... We came home from working an auction up in Albuquerque today... A older BlueBird Wanderlodge is parked right next to us in the campground. The front end looks just like our BlueBird... except we have those nifty front (and rear) docking lights! Stacey can't get over how much it looks like a schoolbus. But not drip edge over the windows every so often... all smooth there. And we have more rub rails!

Re: Smitty's Bus

FRP huh. I'm sure there has been discussion about people wanting to use it as sidewall material instead of steal. Although yours is sandwich with steal. I'm wondering if that will have any effect with warping, or how the FRP holds up on its own as sidewall material. You will have to keep us updated on how it performs and is holding up.
