Re: Smitty's Bus

Hi Smitty. My name is Radion.I am from Russia.I found the description of your modification of the bus in the Internet.I asked for some help to translate my message 'cause of my bad English. It was wery interesting to monitor for such modification. Please,if it is not very difficult for you, publish more photos- it is interesting. I am doing something the same but not of the bus but from small truck. You can see it here.

No problem, I wouldn't accuse you of lying. I was just curious how much width you have with all that insulation in the walls. I must say, I am very impressed! That is still a decent amount of interior width. My bus measures 7'6" between the window frames without adding ANY insulation.

Is that sanded plywood on the walls? How thick is it? What will be the final wall treatment?

Re: Smitty's Bus

Looks good. Your really moving along on the bus. One question, How are your trusses attached to the support beam on the wall? Are you planning on attaching a board under the truss ends to help support? Ok that was two questions. lol

Smitty very cool bus. I look through your thread periodically to see if my idea would "work" or not. It's a great blueprint to use.

Not sure on how well War and Peace will do, but you probably should keep an Almanac by the can. I hear that its great to have in emergencies.

Do a look up for humanure, they give a full run down (and free book) on how it all works.

Just picked up the wood to build my own, though going with the smaller box. Why so large, Smitty?
