So I got a marine toilet.
I got a marine toilet for $30 at a garage sell.
I have a water tank and a gray water tank.
I can do plumbing, but I'm so bad at making things from wood, I'm inpatient,
i'm somewhat ADHD, I cant draw a line for the life of me.
My only thought was big cardboard sheets and make a mock up and then hire a handy man to help.
Iv been on the interior for 5 years now and its so far just the floor and a futon, pretty abysmal. I even have 25 cabinet doors, solid wood! A kitchen sink and a 12V micro fridge!
Im just so horrible at "wood shop" and pre maid stuff looks bad.
Ideas? I also have been useing "Repourposed" items from garage sells, toilet, old RV items so im pretty cash strapped.
The photo is my bus. the second is the toilet idea that I want. I do know know where to get a micro pan like that. I would in the best of worlds like a micro shower with the toilet inside.
Do they even sell a micro shower pan with a hole for a toilet?

It's not rocket science, this is at the top of the list on the first search I did

You are apparently not too impatient if you only have a floor in 5 years. Learn to do some basic woodworking, there's plenty of help on line for ideas on how to build things, this site has a LOT of ideas.

Just dive in and and build it the way you want...It won't matter...it's what you want and what makes you comfortable that matters. None of us have all the skills to be perfect, so go for it
And welcome!!!

I think you'll find that a marine toilet uses more water than an RV toilet, because they're designed to use seawater and flush overboard when 3+ miles offshore. I'd also think twice before connecting it to the same freshwater tank as you use for other purposes.

Thanks for the info Locutus. Im not sure though, this is a thetford toilet for semi trucks, small boats that cant go 3+ miles but use a pumpout at the dock.

And no I was not going to install this into drinking water, as that can cause death.
I did only get this because its "Micro" I mean really really small, I assumed it also used less water. This is for a very tiny boat, 23 footer.

Marine toilet.
I gotta admit, that's way less water than I was figuring. Will you set it up so that it dumps straight down into the black holding tank by gravity, or will it be pumped through hoses? If solid waste has to be pumped to the tank, you could eventually have clogging issues, which are not uncommon on boats. Preventing clogging in this case may require several flushes until the solid waste reaches the holding tank.

toilet shower combo
If we knew where you were at it would help. I have a 22 foot motorhome
that is getting parted out and it has a all in one bathroom with a shower,
toilet stand and sink all in one fiberglass unit you can have for the taking.
I am in Bellevue, Washington, let me know.

thanks for the info Locutus. Ill make it plop right down into the tank.
Then it will be more of a 1 pint compared to several flushes/pumps.
I tested it out and it has a vigorous forceful pumping action.

Dragonpop,
I just sold my bus, but the new owners might be interested. May I give them your contact information?
(I tried to PM you to avoid hijacking this thread, but had trouble with sending it. You can PM your contact info to me if you wish.)
