Sojourners Bus

Hey we are new to the forum. We recently started on a bus project and have just finished the paint. I will post some pictures soon. The name of our bus is Sojourner.

Re: Sojourners Bus

Welcome, Can't wait to see some pics. Whats the specs on your bus? What are you going to be using it for?
There is a lot of helpful information throughout this forum also plenty of knowledgeable people too. Don't be afraid to ask questions and join in on conversations, we are all for he most part a pretty easy going group. Just watch out for this Smitty guy, Personally I think he fell off his rocker, I mean he is converting a school bus ... Who does something like that.... Oh wait a tick we all are. He may seem harmless at first but give him an inch and he will come back at you with some kind of witty comment. Just kidding around. Smitty is a great guy and is very knowledgeable on the whole conversion process.
Hope to see some pics soon.

Chris

Re: Sojourners Bus

Thanks, all, for the welcome! Pics are coming as soon as I figure out how to download them...
As for the bus, it is a '96 Bluebird flatnose. It is in really nice shape (with the exception of a couple dings here and there). We are going to use it to "move" in. We are making a few alterations in the front, will put in a wall part way back and use the back to store everything that we will keep and take with us. We will live in the front part as we travel to our destination. We don't know where that is yet! We bought the bus from a church who had used it locally. It only has 99,000 miles on a Cummins 5.9 diesel engine.

Re: Sojourners Bus

Ok, here are some of our pictures! We have just "temped" the inside, making it livable for the meanwhile. We will probably do more later after using the bus as a "moving rig."

Re: Sojourners Bus

Today I figured out how to upload pics to view on the recent bus paint job! We hope to still get some stainless lug nuts for the wheels and maybe some stainless baby moon hub covers... we'll see how that goes!
