I am thinking the same as my 1998 AmTran conventional. Which I think is 1/4"NPT x three.

AGREED! Those people are frickin GREAT. I couldn't speak highly enough about them. They spent several hours with us going over everything and were extremely personable. They answer emails within 24 hours, typically several within the same day. Very, very nice people.

It's in great shape for a '99. Hardly any visible rust, good tread still left on the tires, really clean on the inside, and only 162k miles. They are going to remove the seats for me for only $560.00 which to me is one heck of a deal since I don't really have anyone to help me. They will also re- title the bus as an RV before I purchase it for $299.00. Which should make it easier to register here in Texas as an RV. I'm also going to have them deliver it to me (941 miles), for $1200. They pay for all fuel and any repairs necessary if it breaks down. All in all I can't speak highly enough about the company.

I bought my bus there! Too I live like 20 minutes from them had them remove seats and change title too! Had it on layaway for a couple months and the window glass cracked. They offered to take some money when I cashed out my layaway or have it replaced for the regular payoff price. There was a couple of "logistical" problems with the bus so they took the seats out for half the regular price too! Great people great company. They might not be the cheapest but I have emailed them several times with general questions about the bus and they usually mail back in a day or so! So great! Excited to see how your build goes!

Good to see that others are pleased with BGA as well. The easiest way to follow my build is on my blog https://flyboyrv.wordpress.com/ I try to post here as well but its easier on my other site.

Hey Tango, it's about 12 miles from my home. Still up on the NW side near the Beltway and Clay Rd.

Will definitely help with roof work and when removing the windows to re-caulk. More than anything it keeps everything secure where I don't have to worry about vandalism or theft while I'm working on it.

You're coming along nicely on yours. I'll retire in the next couple of months and will make it a point to get to SkooliePalooza next Jan. Would be great if you could make it out there too.

Outstanding FlyBoy...I built my first bus in a rental unit only slightly bigger than the bus (a raised roof 40' BB AA). Was nice to be able to just leave tools where I was working and come back the next day and not worry about the weather or vandals.

My new shop is just a block East of 59 and Collingsworth on Jensen inside the Loop. Five minutes from the art studio where I spend the rest of my time. There is a lot to be said for convenience...especially given Houston traffic.

Let's see some more pix.

I'm extremely fortunate. I have a covered dance floor right next door to my shop where BLUTO is parked. With lighting and water.

Finally decided on my choice of paint. The beauty of this brand and type is that it's completely tintable so you can get it in just about any color you want. We decided on kind of a black cherry color on the body with a white insulating roof paint.

Cool. That's the "home" line of Rustoleum.

Valspar and Rustoluem are the same company. Their oil based enamels are identical, they just sell one brand as "home" and one as "hardware".

Well, I finally got all of the windows out. Time to re-caulk them to prevent any future leaks. I'm also painting them as I do not like the look of the aluminum. The outside will be gloss black and the insides will be a nutmeg color.

Nice!!! Taking time to reseal the windows is worth the effort.

Completely agree Justin. Keeping out any type of moisture is the key.

This was laying up front by the windshield when my bus was delivered to me a while back.

It's a 1999 International AmTran. Does anyone have any idea what it's for? It has two pawls on the stem so I'm assuming it adjusts something.
