I finally completed my layout for the inside of the bus. This will probably change several times but at least it's a starting point .

Does anyone have knowledge of what the GVW amount means? Is this the weight of the bus empty, or an estimate of all the seats filled with students?

My understanding is that it's the combined total of the weight carrying ability of the front and rear axles, i.e. it's the total max allowed all-up weight of the vehicle (assuming that you're smart enough to distribute the weight so that each axle sees its max).
