Shazam that's a long bus. It was hard for me to do my 17 windows in two days.

It’s a 40 footer. I’ve had it for quite awhile now but have only pulled the seats so far. Eventually will get a roof raise and a couple of slides.

Was just trying to post photos directly from my phone since the whole photobucket snafu.

Yes, I've been watching and learning about how to do the same for my pics. It seems so simple when someone else says it. I haven't tried it yet, but I think I've got it.

Wow has it really been that long?

I read here all the time but don’t really post much. It’s been a minute since I’ve done anything at all with the bus, life got in the way, but back at it now.
I’m going to be moving to Montana at the first of the year. Desperately need to do something about the bus!! For now it’s just going to be my “U-Haul”
I already had the seats out so today I pulled the rest of the wood up from the floor. Ground off all the screws that wouldn’t come out and hit all the rust areas with a 60 grit flap wheel.
Was stoked to treat the rust so went to town to find some rust converter. I had planned to use Ospho but nobody had it. I went to eight different stores and nobody had any type off rust converter. Came home and started looking up rust converter on this site. Search function works pretty good now!
Many of the rust converters are just phosphoric acid which turns rust (iron oxide) to iron phosphate which is a very good paint base. So.....back to Home Depot for this.

This stuff started working immediately. It was getting late so will let it dry overnight and check the results. If it works well then SCORE! If not .....it was only $15.98 per gallon.

Easier to find the bolt holes to patch after painting. Prep and Etch is my go to, cheap and it works the same as the expensive stuff.

Yep I think it was on a thread I was reading where you were the one who mentioned it. Could not find any OSPHO here locally but the Prep and Etch worked great. Thanks for the tip!!

It’s that time of year again to make sure the antifreeze is in good condition. Additionally the ph and sca’s should be checked. They make test strips to test all three that work very well.

Nope never happened...
I helped out on a roof raise on another bus but have done very little on mine.
This bus will actually be going up for sale in the very near future.

If anyone here has any interest in a fully mechanical DT466/Allison MT643 bus then let me know.

Haven't decided on a price yet but I'm not out to make a huge profit. It will go for a reasonable price. It will also have a full factory service manual.
