I did have some Spiritual assistance... that I call: Quality Control, aka Scruffy.
SometimesI think he just likes huffing paint fumes...

You appear to be right about that.
It's been well documented that the concentration and inhalation of volatile organic compounds, aka "huffing," stunts growth.
Hard to believe Scruffy started out as an 80 pound English Sheep Dog.

Which can be yet another potent point-source of VOCs.
Scruffy sounds like he needs to spend some time in doggy de-con for a rover rehab!
Commit him before he compromises his canine cranium; either from that unfortunate substance abuse problem, or if he eventually does catch and crash into his puppy posterior at expeditious velocity.
Then again, as a newbie Skoolie, I totally understand the uncontrollable urge to spin wildly in a tight little circle trying to decide what to do next. At least it provides some semblance of a sense of productive action...
While I may be totally lost, I am making excellent time!

I HAD to get the panel in place as I had large gaping hole & rain forecasted. I primed and painted one side (inside facing) and primed the other side- outside facing. Didn't get paint on outside yet as time didn't permit inside to dry enuff.
My HF cutter had no problem w/ 16 ga steel- it's max. Slid a few 2x4's under to elevate.
I did this job by myself, so had to come-up w/ some creative ways to get 'er done. I called on Archimedes and Newton for advice.
I slathered the ribs w/ Silka slop sealant.
I lifted the panel onto my trusty scaffold, upside-down. I hung a few ratchet straps inside the bus. I draped the panel off the edge, put the panel edge in the hooks, got underneath and Atlas'ed it into place.
I left 2 rub-rails attached, wedged them away from the body a bit for wiggle room. These acted as my third hand once panel was vertical. I then went inside and Nurse Ratched it up. I used some shims and block wood to shift sideways into place. Scaffold pushed against door so it wouldn't bow out and fly across the lawn.

Rivetz
I wanted to hit as many of the previous holes in the ribs/hat channel as possible. I marked hash marks/registration marks where they go on the perimeter. I used a magnet w/ string attached to get the other axis. Sharpie dots marked target. Worked good. Only problem was holes were enlarged by previous rivets a bit, so Clecos went unused.
Center punch dots, drill 1/8" pilot hole w/ little Makita. Enlarged to "G bit" w/ big Makita. Drill would center to rib hole, slight egging of new panel, but well within acceptable limits. Slathered rivets in Silka sploodge prior to insertion.
Holes weren't to bad to drill, except for the top and bottom, which were thick angle iron. Drilling 1/4" overhead holes in thick steel will tucker you out. Talk about a core workout. I was pushing so hard, scaffold wanted to tip back, so I ratchet-strapped it to frame of bus so it wouldn't Tippecanoe & Tyler, too. I put some 2x4's on back of the scaffold for extra leverage.
I'm super-pooped, my Popeye arms ache. I will sleep well.
Few rivets, then screw taking pictures, got to work.

Well, it's on there, anyway. I'll have to clean-up some goop and paint to match the rest.
Very happy to have that behind me. Cannot wait to do inside- that's the fun part.

Nice job!
If you can get rub-rail sections to fill in the gaps, that will look original when you are done.

El Cheapo
El Cheapo strikes again.
Was out bottom-feeding at the local Lowes and found some goodies. This store is weird, they have tons of displays available and they don't sell. I guess the locals have more cash than sense.
These cabinets were originally $189, I bot 4 for $5 each. I don't need this format and they are very poorly reviewed, but as a baseball coach, that Hickory spoke to me. These will make nice little overhead storage doors.
I destroyed the cabinets for the doors. I'm not sure what kind of "cycling" that was, but in order to make an omelet, you need to crack some eggs. Cardboard carcass and mechanism was crap.
I was having a key made and started BS'ing with the girl. She had a framing nailer on the counter, so I asked if they now offer ear-piercing. She proceeded to tell me that it was display on clearance, Clarence. I snapped- that bad-boy up for 75% off. Woot ! What else ya got??? She wheels me a display toolbox for $40. Not snap-on, but has roller bearings, at least.
Found a tiny white vanity sink for $5, $280 Delta shower set for $60. The pile of interior stuff is growing
.
