Yes it is-

And all seats, save for the driver's are now OUT

But first-

These were the last two, after pulling the one in the middle out

looking forward

Looking aft

And the scrap pile-

I think there's about 12 bucks worth of scrap steel in there...

NICE!

About as soon as my seats were all out, some really decrepit lookin scrappers came asking about them.
I told em to take em and have a nice 12 pack on me!

That heater looks almost clean compared to mine. ;)

Bus update...

I've been slowly working on pulling the interior wall panels. Nothing like an hour's work swinging a hammer against a cold chisel breaking tack welds and grinding off stubborn screw heads.

I've also been in something of a planning mode for next season, while waiting for winter to set into attack the Asphalteum™ (If it's as bad as NWS and Farmers' Almanac are predicting, the cold will definitely help). Once the floor's up, I've been thinking would it be worth it to run 4 longitudinal beams of double-stacked 1/2" ply ripped into 4" widths, 1" rigid insulation between them, then more double-stacked 1/2" laterally with 7' spacing and more 1" rigid filling the voids.

The inboard beams would be bolted through the existing mounting with elevator bolts, the outboard screwed in place with wood to metal screws through the floor or angle bracketed to the ribs through the chair rail. This would all be sitting on a layer of acoustical barrier (db3)

The Asphalteum in mine will finally be TOTALLY gone after today.
We are heading out with one last spray can of aircraft stripper, some beers, some friends, etc. The plan is to get off the last of the heavy deposits and start wire wheeling it all down . Finally cooled down a bit last night too, its been in the 80's and even 90's this week.

Post some pics of your removal, if you would please!

Finally started to get cold here too. Spent the night in Reno a few days ago. It was 17 over night. Good thing I don't live in Reno!

Hi, first of all i want to say i really enjoy watching your rv's come together. I built some Oilfield equipment that i worked out of for 13 years during the winter months. But these schoolies are works of art compaired to what i hacked up.So kudos to you all as a community and thanks Scooternj for sharing your build. Why are you removing your roof bottom tin? it looks well insulated and maby just needs a good wash or a repaint?
Not quite seeing whats so bad about it?
