Man very nice! Looks great.

I really dig the rope lights inside the cabinets. You mind if I copy that idea?

It's messed up for everyone, I think. It certainly is messed up for me. I let the administrator know, and I think he's working on it.

Re: the akitabus

Well we have nearly finished the galley so now it is time to address the stern and the bow of the vessel, we are starting on the stern, we welded the back door closed, took out the lower window which we will weld a panel in place, then insulate and cover the inside.....

first a couple of shots of the galley

Re: the akitabus

It's not often that someone seals up their rear door. Interesting. I'm curious to see how you utilize that space.

Re: the akitabus

We still have another rear door (wheel chair door), the reason we chose the rear door to seal off was it had the most problems as far as leaking,
we welded on the outside and caulked the inside ... no more leaks. If we had to do it all over again and had more time we might have just cut the whole back off and put in a straight wall for the rear, because now that we are sheathing it it is not the easiest thing to do, but should look ok when we are done.

Re: the akitabus

Well we have finally sealed up the back door, first by welding, grinding and then cover the welds with all metal, here are some pics of that process.

well, I think it's safe to say nobody's going to be coming in through that door! Looks great. I'm jealous of you guys with your welders. I'd like to learn that skill one of these days.
