Re: the akitabus

Awesome job on fitting the cabinets to the curve of the ceiling.

Clever "plug" for the stairwell. I made one for mine. It keeps anyone from entering because my door swings in. It also makes a handy place to sit. Currently, it has a foam pad atop of it. It is one of my dog's favorite bed.

Re: the akitabus

UPDATE:
We finished building the wire chase conundrum that will join the upper chase to the lower instrument panel. A little paint, then to install.

hopefully it will all fall into place.

All so paneled the salon/head wall ... starting to look like something we could use as soon as we get all the tools out of it.

seems a little blurry to me.

Yeah, the original wire chase made of plastic is pathetic. They made everything else out of metal, why not that?! Oh well, your fabricated replacement looks great. I will make something similar out of wood since I don't have the metal fab skills/tools.

Re: the akitabus

Well its pretty tough to update the buses when the "the board attachment quota has been reached", none the less we have painted the exterior and mounted our captain chairs.... hopefully we will be able to take a test spin soon for an overnight-er, may be to Oregon too watch the daughter play golf.

Hopefully we will be able to post pictures soon, cause this thread is useless without them.

Apparently the work-around for this is to use a photobucket account. This somehow allows you to insert the pics right into your post with no limits as to how many. I haven't done this yet, but it looks like I'll have to.

Re: the akitabus

Painted the Akitabus, using a two part marine paint From Sea Mar, Thanks Streach.....

Went with Sea Hawk colors or as close as we could get to their colors without having to wait for a color match.

can you guess what it is?

Re: the akitabus

We painted the bus using a HVLP sprayer, and it went really well, ...... we rented the equipment and everything worked great on Saturday but come Sunday morning to paint the blue and the gun was throwing globs of paint... so after cleaning rental gun 3 times, decided to just go buy new spray gun so we could finish job... SO for Sale New, used once HVLP spray gun..... if anyone one wants to buy a nearly new HVLP spray gun just let me know.

till next time
