Re: The Bamper - 1977 Chevy 54 pass

OMG! That bike is so old school cool! That paint-the 4" over Forking by Frank forks-weedburners-king+ queen seat (Corbin + Gentry? Maybe JC Witney?) Too bad it wasn't a few years older.
Do yourself a favor-keep the brake fluid ultra clean. All the old Hondas I had, and is backed up with info from a buddy who restores old Hondas, the return hole in the master cylinder likes to get plugged with cryatalized brake fluid-causing the brakes to drag.

I've had a couple Hondas similar to that one. They are great bikes!

Re: The Bamper - 1977 Chevy 54 pass

Seat on the bike is a JC Witney origonal. Brake fluid gets flushed every spring

Got half the countertop glued up tonight ! ! Doing it in two pieces so I can run it through my planer and then will glue both halves together. The other half is in pieces on the table in the background.

This thing is a massive 11' long .... should be a neat challenge to get it into the bus when it's done

Well, it doesn't look like much but that little white spot took a fair bit of work to install.

A bit higher on the side of the bus than I'd like but I didn't want it in the bumpy/textured panels.

Looks about perfect to me! It will catch less road goop up there than it would lower down and you won't have to crawl around on your hands and knees to work with it .

Don't really have a picture of it but I got the electrical panel all wired up and it tested out great, didn't blow anything up (myself included) so the day was a success.

Also got a swingset built for my little girl. She LOVED it the 10 minutes she had her way with it before it got dark.

Re: The Bamper - 1977 Chevy 54 pass

Big weekend for Fergus.

Got the second half cut and glued Saturday.

Got both halves planed down. Had to bring it out in the garage because it was too long to fit in the shop.

Got both halves glued together and it looks GREAT ! !

Re: The Bamper - 1977 Chevy 54 pass

Here it is before we load it up with all our crap for Memorial Day weekend. As it will be for a LONG time, a work in progress.

That countertop really looks MUCH better in person.

Here's a before photo just for comparison ...

Well the bus ran great and slept amazingly. Mama and baby enjoyed themselves and a few beers were consumed.

Baby enjoyed herself
