Re: The Bamper - 1977 Chevy 54 pass

I put all six screens on a week ago with the magnets and they're holding on perfectly. I don't think they'd survive whilst going down the road but they'll work great while parked.

We're going out for a short trip this weekend so we'll get to see just how well they work in the "real world".

We've got enough magnets on our bus to level someone with a pace maker!

Re: The Bamper - 1977 Chevy 54 pass

Took Fergus out for the weekend and we all had a blast.

My $150 alternative to a $1000 RV style awning. It took maybe 10 minutes to set it up. Not bad in my book.

Screens worked flawlessly. Not a single bug inside all weekend ! !

Pair ribeye's, a sirloin, and a t-bone. Yummy. Oh, and some potato's for filler ...

BACON. No more needs to be said.

Hobo dinners in the tinfoil. I had mine in my favorite cast iron skillet.

And last but not least ... an apple cobbler.

Re: The Bamper - 1977 Chevy 54 pass

The bus causes quite a stir wherever it goes, of course everyone here knows how that goes though

We've taken it out a few more times camping than we have photos for but the unrealized bonus of having a 2 1/2 ton camper/tow vehicle shines through with my "just for fun" Dj company. It's been a riot taking it to weddings, bonfires, barn parties and town festivals. We pull our enclosed trailer full of sound and lighting equipment behind it, throw some breakfast in the fridge and beer in the cooler and off we go !! Saves a lot of late night driving when we're tired and exhausted.

We went to the Crow Wing Campground just south of Brainerd, MN this past weekend and I've got to say it was one of the nicest, well managed campgrounds I've ever been to. It's always an adventure taking the bus out because most people have never seen anything like it. All weekend we had people stopping over and asking questions and one guy even said, "I wish my wife would be okay with me doing something like this." To which I replied, "Me too!!"

Nothing like being out on the open road with a big blue bus.

"Blending in"

Saw this on the ol' interwebs and had to try it. It was a TON of messy fun. I don't have any after pics but it cut in almost exactly in half ! !

Steak the size of your head ! !

Site all set up. We put our portable room A/C in the bus this year and it was AMAZING to sleep in cool, low humidity all night ! !
