Re: The "Behemoth" comes to life....

I finished off the closet-bedroom walls this week, this is the passenger side from on top of the bed looking forward...

And this the closet on the other side (Drivers side)....

I also picked up a brand new back-up monitor via Craigslist this week for only $25, seems the guy had no use for it...

More pictures and a complete write-up are posted HERE

I put the graphics on the bottom skirt today...

Sorry, when I shrink the images down the stripes tend to get a little fuzzy looking!!

Re: The "Behemoth" comes to life....

After getting a whole bunch of free carpeting the other week, I decided this was going to be the stuff to use to finish the lower walls with, make a carpet skirt from the seat rail down to the floor...

Then I used some over the wheel well too (under the desk)....

And of course the rest of the floor too!!

More pictures of this, the shower door, and an outside electrical outlet are located HERE

Re: The "Behemoth" comes to life....

They say 'The third time is the Charm" so let's hope so... My first two attempts at window skinning turned into something that looked totally awful. What I'm using this time probably won't last, but it's a good interim measure and will hold up for a while. I have decided that working with metal is simply NOT my forte, so I skinned the windows over with waterproof shower board. My guess is that the stuff is NOT going to be UV friendly, so maybe I need to keep the whole thing parked in the woods perhaps!!

He, it looks good the shower boards. Hopefully it stays that way.

Re: The "Behemoth" comes to life....

Yes, that's the water heater under the E-Door, it's both propane and 120vac capable...

The floor will be insulated partially with the carpet itself, as well as underneath. Right now my main thrust is to get the thing looking presentable enough that the campground I live at will allow it in. They don't care for older rigs and home made stuff, but if it's done well enough they will let it in.

Carpeting will work fairly well as an insulator. The center part of the bus has a heated storage compartment, and the rest of it will be insulated with something between the ribs under the floor, then covered with corrogated plastic material (same belly enclosure material they used on my Travel Trailr), it has a R-value of around 5 or 6 if I recall correctly.

Sorry if you have already said but what are those graphics? Are they custom made or did you buy them from somewhere?
