Just picked up my rebuilt alternator today. Kinda pricy @ $190.00 after tax.

I've taken either an alternator or starter from nearly every vehicle i've ever owned to the same guy to be rebuilt. He's always don't excellent work and most times the item is finished same day and at a very resonable price. I also buy all of my golf cart batteries from the same shop. $190.00 seems a bit high, but i guess it's worth it. I have been running my skoolie without an alternator since i got home from burningman.

I used my honda eu2000 geni and a 40 amp computer controlled battery charger to run the bus for the past couple months. I've probably driven nearly 1,000 miles with this setup. It'll be nice to have an alternator again.

It's a Leece-Neville 160 amp alternator.

Here are some photo's from this weekends Sanda get together. Nearly 300 Santa's converged in downtown Detroit on the outdoor ice skating rink (that happened to be closed at the time). The cops were actually pretty amused by all the caos.

That looks like it was a blast. The bus looks cool with all the lights...and the elf...gotta get one of those.
