Re: The Brown Crown

Been working steady on my remodel. Got all the panel pieces put up over the construciton lumber, finished the top for my built-in ice bucket/cooler, and this morning I put in the LED lights under the countertop. These are for ambience, but my sister say's its so you can see if you are getting Gin or Vodka out of the cabinets Have to wait for another py day to get the lumber for the doors and hinges.

Re: The Brown Crown

The led's under the counter make it nice for night time too. It isn't so invasive,
say you're watching tv at night and need a snack from the cabinet.

well played!

Re: The Brown Crown

Well my redesign project is getting there, except for the one door I made and mis-measured...hate when I do that. But got some of it put back together again today and can continue to get things cleaned up and ready, as well as cutting out a new door which I will try to sand and stain later this week.

I also had an extra Crown emblem in my collection, so I crafted that into a backlit light for above the sink.

Re: The Brown Crown

All of our interior lights on our conversion are going to be LED's. We had planned to do indirect lighting coming off the top of the cabinets for a nice glow. After seeing what you did, I might change my mind. I am picking up two additional Crown emblems from some Crowns getting crushed in San Mateo County. I am going to shamelessly copy your great back light idea for the Crown emblem.

As usual, Mr. Straw, a class act on your latest conversion upgrades.

Re: The Brown Crown

BC got a complete bath today under the big tent at the yard where I have been substitute driving...I'm really getting too old for this
Next week on June 6th, she gets to get her wheels really rolling on her first cross-country adventure, so it had to be clean!

Taking my 83 year old mom and my two sisters from California to Oklahoma so mom can visit her brother she has not seen in about 20 years. Will be about 3,200 miles round trip, following along the trail of old Route 66. Since the Crown looks kinda retro, a little excited about that. We will be out on the road about 2 weeks, getting to see the sights I haven't been to in over 20 years either

Did a complete oil/filter change last weekend, lube this weekend, and then just pack.

I have spent so much time building, re-building, it's time to enjoy the fruits of the labor. I can hear the ol' Detroit 671 humming along the Mother Road in my mind
If you happen to pass us along the way, give us a wave and a blast on the air horn
